WORLD AIDS DAY:
Let communities lead in the fight against the virus!
Itโs World AIDS Day! The @Ifakarahealth staff led by our Chronic Diseases Clinic of Ifakara (CDCI) team are excited to engage through sharing of knowledge about the virus around this yearโs theme: Let communities Lead. ๐ฅ
So, stay tuned through our social media channels for updates throughout the day! ๐
We, at Ifakara, strongly believe that communities living with, and affected by #HIV, networks of people from key populations and youth leaders have been, and continue to be, essential for progress in the #HIV response.

Had an amazing time at the @ifakarahealth annual scientific conference. It was an honor to share the preliminary results of our study focused on addressing HIV-related stigma in order to improve 'linkage to care' #IASC2023
Happy to share that our case report has been published. We describe a false-negative test in a person with advanced HIV and offer important recommendations on HIV testing algorithms in resource-limited settings. @FranChuwaMD@DaktariRobert#IDCases

2022 has been a great year of learning. One of my best moments was completing @_ARASAcomms year-long Training and Leadership Program (TaLP) on SRHR, HIV, and human rights advocacy in Southern and East Africa alongside 36 incredible young leaders from 18 different countries!
I had the privilege of presenting on behalf of @ifakarahealth at the @tacaidsinfo National HIV/AIDS Symposium in Lindi to mark the #WorldAIDSDay2022. We discussed our research, which targets stigma to improve the linkage to care for persons living with HIV in rural Tanzania.
