What I'd add is that, coming from an app mgmt & DBA background, GCP gave me the most logical introduction to raw infrastructure of the 3.
AWS & Azure have too many complicated (and in my view unnecessary) artifacts to be easy to learn IMO.
@PaulDJohnston@killerswan Maybe AWS is different, but I'm not sure Amazon are in a position to preach about market behaviour. Not that I'm saying Google is either!

@anne_e_currie It seems to me that going public is the only way to avoid companies cashing in or misusing our identities. But I cant think of a way it could ever become politically acceptable to do so. Society would rather slide into 1984.
@anne_e_currie The key aspect of the Panopticon which makes it acceptable to the populace is the fact that the data is shared publicly. I dont see any moves, or even conversations about doing that in reality...
