CAN alumni spotlight ✨
CAN alumni Simon Kimuda and Benoit Assogba are advancing infectious disease research across Africa.
Simon Kimuda used his fellowship to isolate and characterize potent hantavirus-neutralizing antibodies. His work spans virology, monoclonal antibody production, and B cell profiling—plus leadership growth through AREF coaching.
Benoit Assogba tackled insecticide resistance in malaria vectors using cutting-edge genomic tools. From The Gambia to Senegal, his projects are shaping regional vector control through cross-border surveillance and genetic insights.
