@joyinbecomingp1 There's always been some instances of that. The question is why the significant rise of people still single in their 30s. Also the OP is wrong that divorce rates are so high now. It's actually low now, but partly due to the rise in cohabitation.
@GreatLakesWife_@Noash22 Golfing 1x a week seems okay if he gives her a night to do something for herself as well. If he wants more, take the youth group golfing on occasion or take his kids with him. My wife does ballet Thursday nights and much of Saturday but kids do it as well.
@SierraThomander@CrusaderWatch Awesome! I can actually picture that box in my mind. Iโm glad it went to someone who can value it and remember him from it.
@Cecil_Imperiale@Pat_Stedman These days its more believable for a woman would step in to help her sister's baby than a man stepping in to help his brother's baby. People assume the man has ulterior motives while the woman has a caring heart. At one time it was expected a man took care of his extended family.
@NoblestCalling@castlehillmom I agree that the cost seems way off unless she's counting a whole container of ketchup, mayo, pickles, etc. even though it'll last her a long time. Maybe she's adding bacon and avocados. Otherwise, I can't imagine it should cost anywhere near that unless her kids are all teens?
@mholt6@jkimballcook I think it might be more like if we choose to not forgive and then soften our hearts and choose to forgive, then we have repented. As for Jesus, in D&C 64:10 he says "I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men."
@NoblestCalling@castlehillmom Making fries/buns from scratch can take some time. Most people who say they make their burgers at home are just grilling and assembling (still cheaper than McDs). They buy buns, pre-cut pickles, etc at the store. If she's got 9 kids, her oldest 2 could probably cut tomatoes.
@JReubenCIark I mean if you feel that strongly about being a NeverLittle there are other options in the primary. People act like they HAVE to vote for a horrible choice because the alternative is worse but there's a half dozen options if your only concern is no whiff of left
@700south_@Manhattva@Mormonger@oldstatemark@GovernorLittle It takes work to research other options. I'm still trying to learn more but so far it doesn't seem like there are any better options than Little. Like you said, it's definitely not this guy.
@ThoughtfulSaint I understand the scriptural basis for God's influence being everywhere and his awareness of everything. But I don't understand the claim that he is omnipresent, especially with scriptures like 1 Kings 19:11-12. He's not in the fire or earthquake or wind so how is he everywhere?
@joyinbecomingp1 That's awesome. Have you ever made a goal to read the Book of Mormon 365 times in a year? I'm trying to imagine what that would be like.
@jacobabarbary Yeah, I don't think he goes for turning the bad guy into some kind of good guy. His books do have a strong moral core. But he does often have the hero learn to love his enemies even as he realizes he has to stop them.
@jacobabarbary Just a heads up, a lot of his books have at least a chapter or two where he shows things from the perspective of the villain which can be somewhat graphic and disturbing at times. He's great with character development but it's not always family friendly.
@jacobabarbary He's probably most famous for Ender's Game and its sequel Speaker for the Dead. There's a great Alvin Maker series that's basically a folklore take on Joseph Smith. His Homecoming series is a scifi take on the Book of Mormon. I also enjoyed the Women of Genesis series
