@ZhugeEX@Subiito1 Assuming that 2 and 3 stop being a factor at that point (huge hypothetical, I know), do you think that prices will decrease alongside component costs in 2028? Or is it more that they'll just stop getting higher?
@JacquesPaught@REALMadMax1960 I think that's part of why they decided to make the portraits look so stylistically different. Portraits and models were already pretty close in P3R, so I think they wanna use the portraits to express a different kind of image from the in-game graphics.
@Grizzexploder@aboalhesh1420@aitaikimochi Also, the insinuation that Japanese people wouldn't join clubs expressly for social activity is a massive oversimplification of how a loneliness epidemic comes to be.
@Grizzexploder@aboalhesh1420@aitaikimochi Not really the point of your post, but I go to a university in Japan and that 4chan comment is dumb. He's right that most (Japanese) students commute, but the whole "college is super depressing and lonely" thing is BS. I do wonder if he's describing his experience as a foreigner.
@Eltora12@TropicalMaku@thebluecaboose_ Studio closures and layoffs are almost always reported by press (namely Jason Schreier) prior to being officially announced.
It's actually kind of a problem, because most developers at these studios usually find out about layoffs and closures first through outside reporting.
@StickmanSham I do agree with the fundamental premise that most of the content is locked behind NG+. But once you do have that content, it's a very different experience compared to vanilla KH3, so I think people just started saying KH3RM as a shorthand to refer to those particular experiences.
@StickmanSham Maybe I haven't seen enough of that side of KH discourse, but I don't really think the point is to be disingenuous. I see it as more of a shorthand to refer to vanilla KH3 and post-patch KH3, since KH3 did receive multiple patches throughout 2019 that affected Sora's balance.
@dallin1016 My crackhead theory is that Sora's destructive fight with the Darkside will put him at odds with the ruling faction of Quadratum, which Yozora most likely belongs to. I could sorta see Sora as being a vigilante or something in Quadratum.
@Soraalam1 Just saying floaty=bad is, like you said, either indicative of a lack of understanding of the combat options, or an admission of a subjective preference in terms of game feel. That's a paradigm that KH gameplay discussions desperately need to evolve out of in 2026.
@Soraalam1 This thread reminded me why I appreciated your videos so much. I really think KH needs more people who are vocal about the combat without getting completely lost in the sauce. It's important to convey why something is bad (e.g. floaty), other than that it just is.
@RAACarmona Ironically, I think it might be more fitting to call KH4's RCs "Situation Commands," since you're not really reacting to the enemies this time.
All around, I agree with your takes on both KH2 and KH4, though. I'm happy with this direction.
@RAACarmona How do you feel about the way they (supposedly) work in KHIV, where you earn them and set them up by comboing with the Build system? That indirectly ties them to a resource, which I feel like addresses your gripes.
@xenosaga7 The Tokyo Metropolitan Building seems to stand out more now as well. I wonder if they're trying to make the command menu more reminiscent of Shinjuku rather than Shibuya.
This doesn't seem to be the case, but I also think it'd be cool if each part of Quadratum has its own menu.
@StickmanSham The "managing enemy positions is a skill" argument is valid, but the issue is that modern KH has been unfair with the off-screening. It feels less like a skill and more like rng.
Plus, even with an indicator, you still have to manage space, or you'll get interrupted constantly.
@thegamersjoint Haven't seen anyone mention these airships during the Darkside fight yet. I wonder if they're what cause the explosion we saw in the screenshots last year.
@Jazzyruf2@thegamersjoint@dallin1016 People are doubting you, but they did say they're "working towards the 25th anniversary." It was a toss-up between whether that was referring to the re-reveal or the release date, and now we know that it's certainly not the former.
