I teach auto shop at a small high school. We work on students cars, teachers cars, students parents cars and some community people cars. We only charge for parts and not labor, so we saved some people a lot of money last school year. This last school year we did 126 oil changes, 68 brake jobs, 85 alignments, 4 steering racks, 22 tune ups, 32 struts, 20 shock absorbers, 4 transfer cases, mounted and balanced 82 new tires, 4 timing chains, 15 valve cover gaskets, 14 thermostats, 4 radiators, 12 in tank fuel pumps, 8 EVAP canisters, 6 exhaust manifolds, 4 mufflers, 15 AC repairs including evacuate and recharge, 8 alternators, 22 batteries, 9 starters and so much more! Proud of those students I am!
I find @BootsRiley’s on the ground campaign for #ILOVEBOOSTERS very charming and also, more directors should stand ten toes down for their work like this!
anyways I’m sold! I’ll see you in the theatre TOMORROW!
This is what happens when you insist someone has to go to college in order to be deemed socially successful - it’s not a good priority fit for everyone!
Hello yt lady. So as a student, having to set up a time to go see my professor during their office hrs, while juggling my other classes, assignments, org responsibilities, job shifts & social life is an additional responsibility after I already completed the assignment.
I was a homeschooled child very similar to this and I have to say that while you as an adult may be encouraging and proud of the independent thinking you feel this displays, you should be cautious of how it appears to children her own age and how they will react in response.
The most homeschool story:
My preteen daughter never got into Taylor Swift. At day camp last year they were doing an art project and another kid asked her to hand her a magazine with Taylor on the cover and my daughter as like “….i don’t know what she looks like.” All the other girls were 😮🤯.
Fast forward and she happened to hear Fate of Ophelia. And she was as like “oh now I get it, she sings about Shakespeare! No wonder she’s so popular!! What other plays does she have songs about?!”
you gotta be strangermaxxing you gotta be chatting up random people as much as you can. Big Individual lobby doesnt want you to, but that is why you must
Framing this as being a jab at him and not an acknowledgment of her contributions to the history of Black art Sinners is meant to celebrate doesn’t sit right with me at all actually.
My mom is one of 9. She’s the third oldest and has a really special relationship with her youngest siblings because she remembers everything from the day they were born. And when you have a lot of kids, you also have a lot of grandkids who all get to enjoy these huge extended families of cousins, aunts, uncles. You get to be around and hold babies from an early age. Christmas and Thanksgiving are absolutely epic. There’s very little downside actually. So many of my very best memories are peach pies at my grandmas with 20+ cousins, tubing on the Potomac, jumping or being throw in cold lakes in the hot summer by older cousins. New babies and new life all the time. We have another wedding coming up in a couple of months. Wouldn’t trade a big family for anything.

The film follows 2 sisters who seek revenge on their father who burned them badly in a fire as babies.
In theaters on May 15.
The way most people travel is overrated. It’s entirely overrated to go to some far off land and spend thousands on hotels/airbnbs and flights for 3-4 days so you can eat food that’s slightly better than what you’ll get at any American metro and go to some museum.
The best travel you can do is as poor and bum as possible that requires friction and interaction with others.
You will have a better time going to places alone, sleeping in your car, and chatting with locals at bars in most of this country than you would flying to Bali to go clubbing.
