Overall, weekend was so fun, and I can’t wait for NAIC to do it all again. Shoutout to all my Wisconsin compatriots and friendly opponents. Pokemon is awesome.
I got my first ever day 2 at the first ever champions regional! I’m so grateful for @morton_aj, @azubbang, and the rest of the team for working so hard on this and letting me in on it.
A few days before, I was teamless, and I felt like I could lose every set. The turnaround was so crazy, but I managed to click with the team almost immediately. I’m looking forward to getting more time with the team because I know I didn’t use its full potential.
Pretty sure I bubbled worlds by not winning 1 more game 😅 either way this weekend was a movie and I could not have asked for more. Thank you so much everyone, I am nothing without all of your overwhelming support ❤️❤️❤️ will post more when I get home / tomorrow I LOVE POKEMON!!!
I made my first ever top cut at the Indianapolis Regional Championships and ended 10-3 and top 16! It was an incredible weekend and I’ll have a whole thread about the run later but thanks to my partner Courtney and all of my friends that supported me and helped me prep!!!
Here are my 2 cents on the open nature debate
I am in favor of open nature, and i hope to have a discussion about it
Though i also think people are still gonna play VGC at the end of the day and it's not as big of a deal as some make it out to be
@queirozeco If you don’t have nature you can’t figure this out. It will just look like unlucky 50/50s until it’s statistically improbable that it’s a speed tie. What knowing nature does is give you an idea that it’s 80/20 before you even see speed order.
@queirozeco It’s not really a coin flip if you know natures though. Yes, you can train your gengar to not meet expectations, but that will really only work for one game.
This is absolutely atrocious and a deathknell for many websites
Serebii should be ok as a large portion of our traffic is direct due to our reputation, but this is horrendous for all individual sites everywhere.
These things scrape our sites then kill us. I see no logic to it.
