Congratulations @dr_karugu for the oath of office as Principal Secretary in charge of EAC Affairs, & by extension as our Chairperson of EAC Coordination Committee. I look forward to working with you in the EAC integration agenda. Beny Gideon, Undersecretary, MEACA South Sudan.
My threats to quit have achieved its goal. It shows that our government values the work that I do. The MoFP is now paying universities their adjusted salaries. Besides, my resignation would not have served the public interest. No?
@PeterBoth9 SG, there's no photo of humility that can beat this reconnection. Please help to ensure he got a wheelchair motorbike, & we're ready to help in other basic needs
@antonioguterres, @AUC_MoussaFaki,@JoeBiden@IGADPeace,the Sudanese social & institutional fabric is tearing apart at your watch. Another world humanitarian catastrophic is happening now. Save lives and properties by supporting RECs to charting political process for Sudan.
The last is the IGAD initiative that has mandated tripartite delegation to be led by President Salva Kiir and leaders of Kenya & Djibouti. This initiative in my opinion, and considering the principle of subsidiarity, geographical proximity and common matters for socio-economics
Second initiative is the African Union, where the AUPSC mandated the Chairperson of the AU Commission to travel to Khartoum to engage both parties. Again, the AU initiative without backing by track one will have no value, even if the AU have power of passing sanctions on Sudan.
the political process such as current one endorsed by IGAD will make a meaningful contribution. Otherwise, both South Sudan, Kenya and Djibouti only have public relations leverage far away from any military and economic influence. We've nothing to sanction Sudan in any case.
First is the US. Saudi Arabia and UAE joint initiative as already done by the Foreign Ministers. These three countries have military and economic leverage over Sudan and all parties and actors involved in the conflict. If they agree to support any regional block such as IGAD
Blood and tears in Sudan as battle for supremacy is tearing the country apart.
Since the outbreak of full scale political violence, what's are the attempts by the community of nations to resolve the conflict? So far, there are now ongoing three tracks of political processes.
Kenyan political maturity at best. Considering the ongoing civil disobedience, H.E President
William Ruto, announced to the nation to enter into bipartisan talks with Azimo La Umoja groups on fundamental matters to better Kenyans lives & the nation. Time is now to take a leaf.
Inter-University lectures on constitution-making in South Sudan. Lectures focuses on history, processes, mechanisms, and challenges facing constitutional development.
Time is now to collectively design constitution to end war;build institutions & set a constitutional democracy.
South Sudan we want is already here. It must continue to exist and succeed at all costs.
Despite the challenges of our staggering social fabric, there are many ways to amend it. South Sudan has secured a win to the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Congratulations, boys!
