Another Nigerian man has allegedly been killed during a South African police operation in Cape Town, according to Nigerians residing in South Africa.

The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, 23 July 2026, during a police raid in the Bellville area.

Witnesses claim one man was strangled during a drug search, while another was shot in the mouth.

The Nigerian community has condemned the alleged incident and is calling for an immediate investigation by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID).
