@CapitalBacchus (3/3) From completion, the Board and management team will be augmented with mining and finance industry leaders and a new advisory board will be formed. This expertise will help strategically position BEM to be a key participant in the global critical and defence minerals sector.
(1/3) We are pleased to announce a proposed strategic investment from @CapitalBacchus, as part of a total proposed financing of £4 million, allowing Beowulf to substantially advance its portfolio over the next 18 months. Learn more here ➡️ https://t.co/0YmB8LyqUa
@CapitalBacchus (2/3) Upon completion, #BEM would be fully funded to advance technical and environmental workstreams at Kallak and support strategic growth opportunities for Grafintec, through 2027. It also allows BEM to consider opportunities to expand its asset base in key strategic minerals.
High-grade iron ore is key to delivering green steel. The iron ore present at Kallak ranks within the top 4% of global supply in terms of grade, reinforcing its potential role in supporting lower emission steelmaking in Europe, and providing #BEM a compelling market opportunity.
Beowulf announces unaudited financial results for the three months ended 31 March 2026. Read more to learn about the progress being made at Kallak and GAMP, and further updates from #BEM ➡️ https://t.co/0eUlN2hR4C
According to BHP, iron, in the form of steel, is consumed at 20 times the volume of all other metals combined, supporting essential industries from construction to clean energy. Through Kallak, #BEM seeks to provide Europe with a secure supply of premium, low‑impurity iron ore.
The European Commission aims to have at least 30 million zero-emission cars on European roads by 2030.
Graphite anode materials are essential to Li-ion batteries for use in EVs, affording @Grafintec an important role in efforts to decarbonise road travel across the continent.
This time last year, #BEM & @Grafintec completed the GAMP PFS, confirming the project’s strong economics and low‑cost, high‑margin potential. Since then, a site reservation has been secured in Keltakallio, an emerging hub in Europe’s growing battery value chain.
According to @EUROFER_eu, EU steel imports rose by 14% in 2025, pushing the share of imports to 29% of EU steel consumption.
With regional supply chain security in focus, bringing large‑scale, high‑grade European assets like Kallak into production is increasingly important.
As part of its sustainability strategy, Jokkmokk Iron and #BEM are providing sustainable solutions through innovation, whether it is developing mining practices to mitigate impact, improving energy efficiency or supporting rural development.
Beowulf and @Grafintec have advanced activity across Finland in April, participating in the Power Coast Summit, hosting public meetings at the Aitolampi and Rääpysjärvi graphite projects, and completing the preliminary technical study for Aitolampi ➡️ https://t.co/4Qqivcqpr6
Ed Bowie, CEO, joins The Europe Times to discuss Beowulf's projects in Sweden and Finland, and how the company's portfolio positions it to capitalise on the global drive to reduce carbon emissions and strengthen critical material supply chains ➡️ https://t.co/UqYzPmDqzX
Beowulf welcomes the announcement by the Swedish Government, as part of its spring budget proposal, confirming that the Inlandsbanan has been identified as a priority corridor for rail infrastructure investment.

Achieving the target of using 40% green steel in the manufacturing of EVs would be equal to removing the annual CO2 of 3.5 million fossil fuel cars, at a cost of just €57 per vehicle. #BEM’s Kallak Project is primed to supply high grade iron ore for green steelmaking.
Global steel demand is ~1.9 billion tonnes per year (source: OECD). In order to meet this demand, 2.6 billion tonnes of iron ore is required. This places an emphasis on bringing additional high-quality iron ore projects, like Kallak, into development.
#BEM and Jokkmokk Iron are committed to responsible mining and have developed a sustainability strategy focusing on its key pillars, THRIVe:
🔵 Thriving Planet
🔵 Human Dignity
🔵 Resilient People
🔵 Innovation for Impact
🔵 Value-Driven Leadership
Major producers have seen iron ore grades drop to around 60.8%, marking the first official downgrade from 62% in two decades. Kallak has the potential to produce a high-quality iron ore product, with a grade of over 70% ➡️ https://t.co/9YuXStqu69
Data from @Benchmarkmin shows that China will remain the dominant refiner across critical minerals by 2030. 71% of natural #graphite will be refined in China despite the current efforts by the US and the EU to develop and improve processing capabilities. (image: @VisualCap)
@EITeu (3/3) The project aims to advance technical and environmental knowledge, enabling the development of slurry pipelines as a sustainable transportation solution in the Nordic region, with a replicable model being designed for other environmentally and socially sensitive regions.
(1/3) #BEM has conditionally secured €1.1m in funding from @EITeu as part of the €2.4m NordicPipe innovation project as part of a consortium, led by its subsidiary Jokkmokk Iron with partners from industry, engineering, academia, and communications ➡️ https://t.co/afaWGRRvN5
@EITeu (2/3) The two-year project is focused on the development of a slurry pipeline within the Nordic region, taking technical and local environmental and social factors into consideration. The collaboration builds on work already done by #BEM with support from a number of its partners
