@mattbaran That’s the beginnings of the next Cote D’azur right there. What’s the risk of sudden population drops if we build right on that cliff though?
@leeloowrites It was the only water available at a concert recently. It really threw me off. Drinking from a can, I was expecting something fizzy even though I knew it was just regular water 😂
@levie Need a running list of the good white billionaires vs this year evil white billionaires? (Is Reed Hastings a billionaire or merely a multi-millionaire?)
@BriannaWu What I don’t get with women supporting this is, how do they not think that sex verification is harmful for all girls and women? It will always be women and girls asked for verification. There will be a lot of harm if they don’t fit the sexist norms of how they should look.
@mialoira True! That was my point. Everyone seems to be acting as if there’s this magic technology ready for prime and they will have a similar interaction with it if offered the opportunity.
Everyone has seen the Gemini video - it’s incredible. Has anyone actually tried it? Google is not a vaporware offender, there are worse companies for that, but we all know that software products are rarely as advertised or demoed in the hands of unpredictable wetware.
To recap: OpenAI dumps the women from its board & brings on the guy fired from Harvard for sexist remark, appointed under interim CEO who said "40-60% of women seem to have rape/non-consent fantasies," all while bringing back the CEO whose sister accused him of sexual assault.
@tiffani This is so disappointing to see. It's also concerning and telling that there are NO women and people of color on the new OpenAI board. Once again, affluent white men will decide our fate with technology.
