An 80 year search for my great-grandfather ended today. A historian sent me a death record. He died of pneumonia in a ghetto, not in Auschwitz, Dachau, or a mass grave, as previously rumored. I’m slightly shellshocked.

Baruch Dayin HaEmess.
Heartbroken to hear the sad news that we lost Rabbi Berel Wein.
He was a prominent Rabbi, historian, author, and lecturer, best known for his engaging presentations and writings on Jewish history, Torah thought, and contemporary Jewish life.
I’ll personally remember him for his willingness to always strive for the truth no matter what.
Gratitude/tech thought: It’s freeing to have a manager who gives you space to chase an experiment. Motivating when Apple Labs at WWDC go overtime with you. Satisfying to see promising results, thank G-d.
