@sbadok@radiator9987 Definitely Hadestown.
Six and Hamilton are both damn fun, even with the history.
Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Fun Home, Passing Strange, Spring Awakening… I guess Dear Evan Hanson, though I don’t really love it.
Spamalot and The Producers are movie-based but were a blast.
@vurnt22 First time I actually saw him play was ‘97, and when I saw he was playing fingerstyle on a teeny (custom?) hollow body, everything about his sound made so much more sense to me, and I also realized what an effing incredible and unique a guitarist he is in the rock world.
I hope Dave, Eric, and Stephen just audioslave this. Find some awesome vocalist without an ego/alcohol problem and a less cult-y vibe, write some cool new music, and have a happy 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or whatever the hell act they're on. Call it, like, Jane's Rehabilition or something.
@vurnt22 He is incredibly skilled at self-sabotage. You finally get the essential Eric Avery back in the band. You ride out Dave's years-long struggle with long Covid. You have new music coming out and people excited to see you again. So... must be rug pull time.
@vurnt22 I was thrilled to have Avery back in the band, and to finally have Dave back from long covid and the actual full Jane's Addiction back together... so damn this sucks. But also I sorta feel like they wouldn't really be Jane's Addiction unless one of them was having a breakdown.
Coming out of Xitter retirement to say that I just read @EricIdle’s “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” and in addition to being very funny and very star-studded, the chapter on George Harrison’s death legit made me cry. Beautiful book, Eric, and a hell of a life and story.
“When this old world starts getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space…”
ah no dude’s gonna jump ain’t he
