Just want to clear up some details about the Ramón Laureano hip surgery, since I’ve received a lot of comments/questions. As sometimes happens when news breaks, details can be fuzzy and I initially said a doctor suggested surgery last year, which is incorrect.
Laureano had the hip issue in 2021. He went to a hip specialist, who suggested surgery as an option. He did not elect to do it then and “Plan B” got him well enough to play for the next 4-5 years (pretty good). Felt more discomfort this season, continued to push through it and eventually it got to be too much. Had imaging that revealed surgery was necessary.
Ramón is a guy who doesn’t complain or make excuses. Just tries to play the game. He dealt with it until he couldn’t anymore.
After Michael Jordan scored a career-high 69 points in one game, Stacey King said:
“I'll always remember this as the night that Michael Jordan and I combined to score 70 points"

Drive home safely, Stacey. Beep Beep.
Stacey was one of a kind because his passion was authentic and his ability to connect with so many was genuine. His knowledge of the game sometimes got overshadowed by his catch phrases. But man, he knew ball. He welcomed me to broadcast side and made me better RIP to an original
Every one of these type of notifications hit so hard.
