Compare DCA vs DisneySea. Both were built around the same time but DCA was done on a shoestring budget that was a fraction of DisneySea's.
DisneySea is often considered 1 of the best Disney parks in the world. DCA is down at the bottom of that list.

@jas_cant_hang @HarrisonHighto2 Oh absolutely. They are just penny pinchers. Same thing happened with DCA vs DisneySea, built around the same time. DCA had only a small fraction of the budget that DisneySea did and it showed for years. Honestly still shows IMO.

@jas_cant_hang @HarrisonHighto2 I've heard there are 3 reasons for this: 1) they were trained by Disney Elite when the 5 Keys still meant something. 2) Their contract with Disney maintains that standard there. 3) Japanese cultural mindsets

Your reminder that WDI is NOT the problem. Fantasy Springs is WDI. The problem is the operators and management stateside that prevents this level of excellence from happening in the US. Tired about hearing how WDI is the issue.

@wakefieldreport Last I went was 2022. I decided that I needed a break until Tiana opens and I can reassess my parks attendance again after that visit. And that kills me a bit to write. Disneyland is my favorite place in the whole world and I hate that it's not as magical.

@wakefieldreport You aren't wrong. The last 3 trips I took were the worst I'd ever had in terms of overall experience.
It felt like D'Amaro and Chapek threw away the 5 Keys post Covid. I haven't heard of much improvement under Iger.

@LexisH0546 Right, as a kid you wouldn't have caught my parents dead at a kid's birthday party if it wasn't my birthday.
And even then, my parents didn't host birthday parties for me so... 🤣

@LexisH0546 That said, the extra kids is rudeAF. Parents should ask in advance if their other kids can come AND they can pay for the bonus kids out of their pocket if extra kids cost more. If they don't tell me ahead of time then sorry, no goody bags for the surprise kids.

@LexisH0546 I've never seen parents drop off kids at a birthday party at any party where I was a parent. I automatically plan for 1 adult per child for food. However, not all the parents will eat so if someone came with 2 parents that did eat, it would be fine.
