The way you guys compare Nigeria to other countries without looking at it holistically is just amusing.
The current federal minimum wage in Canada is $17.75 per hour, with an expected increase to around $18.10 per hour on April 1, 2026.
This means a minimum wage earner in Canada makes $2,840 per month.
That means a Canadian minimum wage earner’s monthly pay can buy 1,775 liters of fuel (let's assume there are no deductibles).
However, a Nigerian minimum wage earner’s monthly pay can only buy about 50 liters (let's also assume there are no deductibles).
Again, you should think it through before making these kinds of unnecessary comparisons. That’s what being educated is all about.
Now I get it. I understand if low lifers were parroting this but I didn’t expect you’d parrot the same narrative.
You guys don’t want citizen engagement. You would rather people be treated like animals
Chelsea and Man City fans should be proud of losing 5-2 and 3-0 respectively.
They played good football to entertain everyone and that's the most important thing.
@Imranmuhdz Non-career appointments aren't inherently wrong — competence matters more than title. But Fani-Kayode to Germany and Reno to Mexico? These are political payoffs dressed as diplomacy. Career diplomats to African posts while loyalists get the G7. That's the real story here.
WHERE’S THE FUEL SUBSIDY MONEY?
Welcome to the Third Episode of the Extra Sheet. In this episode, I asked a simple question but tracing the origin of fuel subsidy and why it needed to go.
We could no longer afford it.
Lots of talk about Chelsea’s defensive corner tactics at Arsenal last night - but it’s not a new thing.
Brighton + Palace tried the same tactic last season vs Arsenal.
Palace still conceded from a corner in that game. #afc

I was having this discussion with a friend yesterday. I want to start peak foolling by tweeting "Peter Obi will never be president" or an upgrade of Carter Efe's madness.. Start a controversial topic on feminism, relationship and all.. Make i go find my niche... Elon must pay.
Here Is a Video of Peter Obi Falling. There Were No Steps Or Stairs. The Ground Was Level and Even. Yet He Fell. But I Never Mocked Him For It, Because It Can Happen To ANYONE at ANYTIME!
I don’t know who needs to hear this in Nigeria, you can’t sustain your life on Twitter monetization, please do something with your life, get a job or learn something genuine. 🙏

For me, it’s The Year of Alignment. Watch out for my January 5 post on the rocks I intend to build with in the new year.
The Christmas strike highlights Nigeria’s lack of independence. Its timing—on Christmas Day—and its framing appear designed to reinforce a U.S. narrative of a “war on Christians,” rather than reflect an independent Nigerian security strategy. Nigeria’s willingness to align itself with the Trump administration to advance an internal far-right narrative exposes a troubling weakness and loss of sovereign judgment. 🇳🇬🤡 of the 🇺🇸
As a 36 year old born and raised Canadian, I learnt 3 things about living in a Canadian winter today.
1. Do not trust a snowbank. Even when you drove through larger ones that were all powder with ease. No two snowbanks are the same.
2. When everyone else is staying at home and you’re pretty much the only person on the roads - it’s a sign you should stay home.
3. @Tesla Model 3 is nice to have on hand to help get your Model Y out of a snow bank. Easy peasy.
It’s time to buy a winter home in the south 😂
