Dan: I've firmly concluded that what Musk is doing with Twitter is unacceptable. I won’t participate on the platform unless it reverses its course of abandoning all meaningful efforts to control destructive hate speech and flagrant lies

Our thoughts today are with those in Raleigh who lost loved ones to yet another act of senseless gun violence. Just as in our Forsyth communities, it is past time for us to work together to stop this plague of endless shootings.

In Forsyth, report downed lines, poles, or power loss to 1-800-POWERON.

[Dan Besse for Forsyth County Commissioner @besse4forsyth]

Our thoughts and hopes go to those hit by Ian in Fla, PR, and elsewhere, and to emergency crews working to help them

Storm tip: Do NOT drive thru standing water. It can hide new holes and strong currents.

Ian: the latest reminder that stronger storms show dealing with the climate crisis is a matter of survival.

Happy Friday, lots of fun events happening in Forsyth this weekend. Grab some produce at the farmer's market, try a new local restaurant, or get out and root for Wake! 🏈

A hint of Fall is in the air. Great weather today, get out and enjoy it! Spend some time at one of our great local businesses, walk your dog at one of our beautiful local parks, or just sit on your porch and observe our excellent local wildlife.

9/11 is a day not only to remember the heroes of those tragic events but to honor the dedication and heroism of our first responders every day.
