It was at the cafeteria, there was this new GenZ employee, she had her food in the microwave and was writing a couple of things down from her phone on her notepad.

HR lady: why aren't you using the company issued notepad?

GenZ: my notepad is very personal, I also use it as a journal to plan my schedule, I've had this one for a couple of months now and I didn't think I needed a change yet. Besides, I gave that one to my brother.

HR lady: you must switch to the company notepad, it's compulsory.

GenZ: I didn't see it in the employee agreement nor was I informed on my offer letter to compulsorily use the staff onboarding item, I believe those are left to employee discretion.

HR lady: I am telling you that you must use it now.

GenZ: since I already gave that one out, do I get a free one based off this new directive?

HR lady: you have to buy a new one from corporate communications.

GenZ: I don't think I would be agreeing with any directive that is not stated in my offer letter, company dress code and the employee compliance policy I received in my mails, should there be any recent developments please email a revised version to all staff and put measures for easy compliance, thank you.

She stood up, headed for the microwave and took out her lunch
