A medal is lovely. But I’d prefer it if we didn’t have to pay £20 after loosing our ID badge in a cardiac arrest, weren’t turned a way from the canteen when wearing scrubs on call, or not have to pay £100s for a parking permit but be ‘not guaranteed a space’.

Had to break some bad news to a relative yesterday. It was hard. 🚑
I came home and had a large glass of wine and unwound.
Last night I had dreams that a relative of mine was dying and I had to be the one to tell my family.

In just a few days, our teams have transformed wards and departments so we’re better equipped to meet demand, and treat the most seriously ill patients.

Although exhausting, it has been both inspiring and moving. Staff are working so hard and the support has been amazing 🙌

@EmergMedDr What the heck?!! Why? They have stopped manual fit testing in my trust but we now have a fancy machine thing that tests us instead! Why put so many staff at risk unnecessarily?!
