American medical lingo (that I’m learning through greys anatomy of course) sounds so much cooler than ours. Faves so far are ‘banana bags’ for pabrinex and a ‘spinal tap’ for a lumbar puncture 😂
When your night shift is going slow but one of your patients is conveniently also an author and gives you a signed copy of his book to read and keep 😂❤️

Not wanting to keep up with all the coronavirus news on your days off because it is becoming all consuming but definitely feeling some sort of professional responsibility to keep up with the latest updates ??
Funny how all of these ‘low-skilled’ jobs (cleaners, delivery drivers, retail assistants) that so many look down upon are now on the frontline holding society together whilst we work from home.
Those jobs aren’t low-skilled, they’re essential and they should be paid as such.
Having a hard afternoon at work n overhead 2 patients talking about me n one referred to me as ‘the loveliest little nurse’ n the other said ‘you can tell she genuinely cares about us all can’t you’ and did I almost cry? Absolutely
