Agree with the sentiment, but it's applied wrong. Lower income students who work alongside a medical degree are almost never going to do as well as high income student living at home/not paying rent who uses free time to study/relax but it must be possible to have a meritocracy?

I continue to see a lot of noise about foundation job allocation. Mainly from "high-flyers" who seem to think that entitles them to a "better" job.

And due to human nature, not much from those who are broadly happy with their allocation .
