CNBC just noted that half of Under Armour's profit is coming from tariff refunds, and that broadly the refunds are propping up corporate profits.
Weird those refunds aren't going to consumers. Also weird prices aren't coming down. Almost as if tariffs don't drive inflation.
Scooplet: New Jersey’s entire Democratic House delegation, led by @RepAnalilia, sent a letter to DHS leaders today demanding answers on recent detainee deaths at Delaney Hall – “a red, flashing warning light that ICE continues to ignore.” (🔒)

El-Sayed: However much we might disagree with our democratic opponent, there is so much more that unites us than divides us.
And so to all of our supporters here tonight watching on TV. Tomorrow, we begin to mend fences.
Whatever happens tonight, we have a responsibility to assure that we unite to make sure that Mike Rogers never sees the inside of the U.S. Senate.
Money out of politics.
Money in your pocket.
Medicare for All.
Michigan...
We won. I am so proud to be your Democratic nominee for US Senate. Let's win in November.
Final NYT numbers on Haley Stevens v. Abdul El-Sayed:
— Six outside groups spent $62 million for Stevens, giving her a nine-to-one spending advantage over Abdul
— Half of that Stevens spend, $32 million, came from AIPAC's super PAC
— AIPAC's super PAC spent more than any single group has in a federal Democratic primary this cycle

Economist/YouGov:
“The thing is, Haley Stevens was not endorsed by Barack Obama. However, our community in Northwest Detroit has been flooded with flyers. Every day, I get one in my house. It shows pictures of her with Black people. Her at churches.
I say, ‘Where was she all this other time?’ We never saw her.
And what she did 10 years ago, [but] what is she doing now? What has she voted for?
When you look at her record, she has voted for genocide in Palestine, in the Gaza Strip. As a Black woman from an oppressed people in the United States, I can’t stand her for that.
It’s wrong.”
🚨BREAKING: Men posed as ICE agents and detained and assaulted a woman… and Tom Homan is telling everyone that they just have to comply with this.
A woman was driving on Highway 211, in Oregon, when a vehicle with flashing red and blue lights pulled behind her.
Believing she was being stopped by law enforcement, she pulled over.
Two men approached her vehicle, one was carrying a rifle, and they claimed to be ICE agents and told her she was being detained.
They pulled her out of her car, searched her, and put her in the back of their vehicle.
Then, a third man… who remained inside the vehicle… assaulted her.
He told her he was the “guard.”
The men were wearing tactical vests labeled “POLICE,” carrying fake badges, and wore face coverings.
They held her for nearly 20 minutes before telling her she was free to go… and then she drove herself to the hospital.
And while she was there, she reported that she started receiving text messages from someone claiming to be a law firm offering legal representation for her detention.
Federal authorities later confirmed this was NOT an official ICE operation… These were people pretending to be federal agents.
And this is exactly why Tom Homan telling people to “comply” with anyone claiming to be ICE is so incredibly dangerous.
Because what is a person supposed to do when someone in a tactical vest, carrying a gun, pulls them over with flashing lights and says they are federal agents?
Just trust them?
This is not about telling people to resist legitimate law enforcement.
This is about the government normalizing a system where anyone can look like an armed federal agent, claim to have authority over you, and expect you to obey without being able to verify who they are.
That doesn’t make people safer.
It makes everyone more vulnerable to being kidnapped, assaulted, or killed by criminals who know they can pretend to be ICE.
First known US case: American charged for using a “duress” password
Samuel Tunick, an Atlanta resident, is being prosecuted for allegedly giving border agents a passcode that wiped his phone.
The feature comes from GrapheneOS, a privacy-focused Android OS. Entering the duress code triggers a full factory reset.
This is believed to be the first time federal prosecutors have brought such charges.
The incident happened in January 2025 at Atlanta airport. Agents demanded access to his phone without a warrant, saying he hadn’t yet officially entered the US. When they entered the code, the phone wiped itself.
Tunick has pleaded not guilty. His lawyers argue the seizure was unlawful and that agents were investigating his activism against “Cop City.”
The case raises big questions about digital rights at the US border.
What do you think?

Reporter: Isn’t there concern that this slippery slope to socialism inevitably ends up as full-blown communism?
AOC: I mean, no. I think that’s very silly. We can’t even raise the minimum wage. Do they really think communism is going to happen? No. They’re trying to scare people because they don’t want us talking about the fact that we all have a right to health care.
So they want to call everything they don’t like communist because if people actually wake up to the fact that their elected officials are screwing them over when they get here, they’re going to realize they deserve better and that health care as a right isn’t crazy. They want to call this stuff communist because they don’t want us to realize that the rest of the developed world has guaranteed health care. They want to call it communist because they don’t want you to know that Germany, Italy, the UK, Canada—everybody else—has it better than us, and we spend the most money for the worst care in the developed world.
NEW: A second ex-wife of David Brouillette, the ICE agent who killed Joan Durán Guerrero in Maine, Lucinda Brouillette, issued a statement this morning. In it she says "If you were to ask me whether I believe David Brouillette is capable of this level of extreme violence, my answer is unequivocally yes."
"Throughout the years, I brought my concerns to law enforcement, the courts, and the Department of Health and Human Services. I tried to explain what I believed was a long-standing pattern of abuse, intimidation, manipulation, and controlling behavior because I genuinely feared where those behaviors could lead. From my perspective, those warnings did not receive the attention I believed they deserved."
NPR reported on a court filing from Lucinda where she accused him of being physically aggressive with their then 13-year-old daughter.
Below is her statement in full:
Massie: "I don't think the problem is that our elections aren't secure because we control the House, Senate, White House, and to some degree we control the Supreme Court. So I ask my Republican colleagues, why are you complaining about election fraud? We won all the damn elections!"
I can't breathe the air, I can't eat lettuce, I can't afford gas, and my kids have measles. But at least now our soldiers will have enough testosterone.
Today over 100 Democrats voted for the Massie Amendment to zero aid to Israel. My brother @RepBowman & @CoriBush lost their seats for this stand 2 years ago. As a colleague told me, Black martyrdom is normalized in America. Today I want to recognize their courage.
Lindsey Graham died Friday & his sister has already been sworn in. Remember when Mike Johnson refused to seat Adelita Grijalva for 50 days after she was elected? That is what we are fighting for in the midterms, a return to democracy & fairness and to remove fascist Republicans.
