@TPScheme when will I hear back regarding my repayment of contributions? I first sent off the forms on 1st February and I am still yet to hear anything despite constant chasing...
@TPScheme when can I expect a reply via the online portal? I have sent three separate messages (plus the accompanying forms) over the course of 2 months and have heard nothing back about a now urgent query?
I leave teaching at Easter.
I'm so sad to leave the classroom, but can't wait to be rid of the anxiety, stress, Sunday dread, feeling sick whenever I get an email from SLT with another demand.
30 school days and counting.
Christmas alone😔 thanks Covid! The thought of returning to school in January without having spent any time with family this holiday is soul-destroying, especially since it's all that kept me going since September 1st💔
'One teacher recently said to me, ‘Why is it that they won’t trust my assessment data but they’ll take everything my pupils say at face value? Why am I not afforded the same level of trust?’
What a question. Another good read.
Absolutely cuts me up to say but I think I'm nearly done. I wanted to at least make it to the 5 year mark but after just 2 years of teaching I now see why others don't. Life is too short. Scary decisions await. What now?
@KarenJense@kbarlowHistory Good luck to you, I'm sure you're an amazing teacher❤ I think that worrying that you're not is always a sign that you care an awful lot😊
@maternityCPD I can barely get by on the wage I'm on with all my bills and student loan debts! I'm in the middle of finally getting a mortgage (which is going to cripple me monthly) but that would all fall through if I was to take a pay cut🙁
@Yorkgirl1971 I've got the opposite: my partner is begging me weekly to leave as he sees the impact it's having! Another reason why I feel selfish carrying on!
@MrsShapland@nelciacharles I'm definitely not happy with my choice to leave but right now I honestly feel like I'm just existing rather than living and everytime I ask myself why it comes down to my job.
@SearsonEmma Great advice, thank you! I have an Undergraduate degree plus a PGCE but I don't know what else I could do without more training/studying which I simply can't afford. My student debt is absolute sky high as it is!
