Looking after the health of our community - locally and globally - with empathy, and accompanying the most vulnerable, is how we actually win this. We must be #partnersinhealth https://t.co/ARBrULwdcV
@LaurieofMars I’m so sorry to hear this, and my heart goes out to you and your family. I’m glad you have so many wonderful memories of her to cherish at this sad time.
A good reminder that the next pandemic can be anytime.... can even be starting today
We can start now to ensure another #COVID19-like pandemic never takes hold again like this one has.
We have brains & tools.. need the resources and global teamwork https://t.co/8r8ctA0rL3

Thank you for this great explainer - and so glad you are getting the vaccine straightaway. We desperately need your voices as well as your medical skills. 🙏
America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been a role model and an inspiration to countless feminist lawyers. Her impact on the law was one of the reasons I went to law school--if I could make a even a small fraction of the difference she did, it would be worth it. Thread.

@bgurley@florian_krammer@mlipsitch Yes, I agree that this - like everything - has been politicized all around this year. I worry deeply that we won’t be able to bring back the concept of institutions that are meant to operate outside of politics.
@bgurley@florian_krammer@mlipsitch I vacillate between excitement around the amazing, collaborative work being done and shared rapidly, and sadness/horror at things like a politicized CDC putting out misinformation.
@bgurley@florian_krammer@mlipsitch Isn’t a key point of living in a society making tradeoffs that, by & large, benefit the society? What is the argued benefit of *not* having a coherent national policy on practical measures like masks and social distancing, which would clearly reduce harm and deaths?
