The leadership team at Ousley JH take their Roles supporting students seriously! 😀 Family Picnic day with a video game theme. All staff were dressed as their favorite video game character as families enjoyed the spirit and support of Ousley.
@LoweVlowe She graduated from Dickinson State & has taught at the same school for 30+ yrs. I learned that in most ND districts if you choose to move to another school/district you start back at 0 years experience on your pay scale. It’s difficult to find interested teachers w/ that clause.
Visiting my sister-in-law in Scranton, ND. Lynn is a HS teacher at Scranton Public school and teaches German, Business Law, Financial Literacy, Keyboarding & Accounting. This K-12 school has a total of 125 students enrolled. Superintendent Pretzer is also the Secondary principal.
@LoweVlowe I had a great time speaking with the Supt & learning his perspective on leadership without many resources. Lynn also teaches German classes to students across ND that do not have access to German teachers. This is her virtual classroom w the drape covering the older chalkboard😀
From all of us at the Arlington ISD, have the happiest Thanksgiving holiday. Be safe & enjoy your time with family and friends. #GiveThanks#Thanksgiving2019#ArlingtonISD
People ask what’s the best part of being an educator and its moments like this that I hold close to my heart. Thank you, Seguin Nation, for your genuine compassion and support to our Bowie Volunteers. ❤️ @PositiveBowie#SeguinNation @2theTopAISD @BordenPrincipal
Shout out to the University of Chicago Women’s Soccer Team for going as Positive Warriors this Halloween. 👊🏻 👏🏻 Very creative! Love the wristbands and the WE>me on the leg too! Happy Halloween 🎃 @ChicagoMaroons
Thank you, Micah Green, for putting on a wonderful AHS student performance of Steel Magnolias. The female actors showed true talent as they performed roles that had my daughter and I feeling like we were hearing the original Hollywood actors from the movie perform the play. 😊
The AISD Citizens Bond Oversight Committee met to review the completion of the 2014 bond projects and the 2019 bond election. Mia, senior class president at Lamar HS, participated in the discussion as a member of the Student Leadership Advisory Board.
This pic showed up again in a friends feed. In awe of how fortunate I am to work among this amazing team of ”leaders”. Humbled to be a part of plans that can potentially change the trajectory of our schools.
Great way to model building relational capacity by encouraging others to do their best while providing an engaging break from learning with a mental challenge. Great idea, Ms. Shipley! @2theTopAISD
“Transparency sometimes means being vulnerable. Foster creativity in your students by being transparent with them” (K. Novak; G. Couros). Next on my list of books to read. 🤗 #innovateinsidethebox
