I think families should tell the public where their missing loved ones were eventually found, especially in cases that were shared widely online. It could help others know where to start if they ever face a similar situation. Ama?
@omgsidewalks Love that boundary. It’s saying: “I see you, I value you, but I won’t lose myself in something that clouds my mind or peace.” Clear, firm, and self-respecting.
I’m honestly a really nice person, almost too nice sometimes. But I won’t lie my mood swings are w!ld. I can be all playful with you today and then tomorrow I just want to be on my own. I’m that person that suddenly goes quiet, not because you offended me, but because I just switch into my “I need space” mode.
I also get irritated easily, like my anger flashes fast. So if you’re someone that always wants constant energy, attention, or vibe every single day, I might not be your best fit. I’m not wicked o, that’s just genuinely how I am.
Every time someone says shit like ‘no one owes you anything’ I keep my mouth shut because I owe people a lot. I stand on shoulders of people smarter than me, people who held my hand when I didn’t think it was worth holding and people who gave me a chance when no else did.
I’m grown enough to admit I’m not the easiest person to love. Life put me through a lot, so yeah… I overthink, I get triggered quick, I shut down, and sometimes I don’t even make sense. I’m sensitive as hell and I need patience.
But one thing about me? My love is REAL.
A friend said this to me the other day:
“Isn’t it sad that we can love someone so fully and they can’t love us back.”
To which I responded,
“It’s only sad if you think it’s sad.”
What use is the human heart if we can only love those who love us back? If we could only love that which is easy? To love, truly love, is to love even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard. It is to love those who do not love us back, to love those who may not “deserve” our love, to love those we deem to be our enemies.
To love is to put our hearts on the line over and over again not because we are naive but because we are still alive and to love is to be alive.
To love is to choose love when it would be so much simpler to choose indifference.
There is no fear in love.
To love is a choice.
It’s always a choice.
@enyinna_ That subtle, electric feeling when someone’s mind brushes against yours…
and suddenly you feel more awake.
More alive.
More you.
It isn’t physical.
It’s resonance.
Two depths meeting in the dark, lighting each other up without trying.
