Rail Safety Week is an effort to raise awareness about safety around railroad tracks.
94% of all rail deaths occur at crossings or when pedestrians are on tracks.
Troubling of NLC to co-opt a serious issue (the biggest safety challenge in RRing) & not even mention track safety.
It's #RailSafetyWeek! Every day in the U.S., an average of three trains derail, with as many as half potentially carrying hazardous substances. View our interactive map to see the frequency of derailments in your area. https://t.co/PygULEkSe6
So @LarryIsaacLloyd you might like this... I was looking up a weight comparison and apparently the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest weighs 1.6 billion pounds!
Freight rail is a crucial part of an integrated network of trains, trucks and barges that ships around 61 tons of goods per American every year, moving the food we eat, the cars we drive and the clothes we wear. https://t.co/0C1RYboJsU
For all those considering @GustoHQ, I would normally recommend, but after dealing with their FSA for a number of years my strong, strong advice is to stay aware. Evil is the word that comes to mind.
I have spent hours fighting with @GustoHQ to use my own $, my FSA contributions, to pay for my children's school tuition. This is ridiculous. I would happily pay the taxes on this $ to never have to deal with this shit again.
@wesblog@GustoHQ The process to submit receipts for my DCA is so absurd and difficult that I'm leaving my own money on the table (and I've wasted countless hours trying to substantiate claims)
America’s rail system is vital to our economy and country. We thank the labor unions and railroad companies for staying at the table and avoiding a destructive shutdown by reaching a deal that benefits all parties.
