This man is a parent of one of the students at Utumishi Girls Academy. Imagine โ since morning he has been desperately asking about the whereabouts of his daughter, but he still hasnโt been given any information. He says that if she has died, they should just tell him directly so he can go and collect her body.
Predatory asset finance fintech company Watu Credit continues to draw sustained criticism over its aggressive lending and installment schemes, which often see the total repayment amount far exceeding the original cash price of consumer goods.
The latest victim, who purchased a Samsung smartphone through the company, reports that after paying a substantial initial deposit, the daily installment schedule has inflated the total cost to several times the original price, leaving many consumers financially burdened and feeling trapped by the repayment terms.
"Hello Cyprian. This is a Watu Credit Samsung A06 phone sold at Ksh 10,400 on cash. Now on installment basis, Ksh 86 per day after a deposit of Ksh 4,000. This totals to over Ksh 35,000. This is pure exploitation. We can do better as a country. We need to speak out. They either revise the schedule or they ship out!"
