the theatre experience is dead. couple next to me having full conversations. hecklers in the back row. front row getting up to leave every 10min. girl in front of me vape lighting up everytime she hit it. boy next to her watching ig stories in the third act. everyone has to die.
I already clocked the biphobia as retardation/birdism before all this discourse but damn I am really disappointed to see such a large minority of black and Latina women holding such ignorant beliefs. And I’m sure it correlates with these cultures relationships with pride and god
Two bi guys who you won’t date and a single mother with no kids walk into a bar, three homeboys pay for your sister’s BBL but not your friends meals at your birthday dinner. Your mother in law sits in the front seat and you’re upset. Who is the baby, the momma or the grandmama?
And this is exactly why I don’t fuck with the whole bonnet ban conversation. It was never just about “professionalism.” A lot of it is rooted in people’s distaste and disdain for seeing products made specifically for Black hair worn in public.
Those women were staying at a hotel. They came downstairs early in the morning, wearing pajamas and bonnets, to eat the continental breakfast and mind their business. Instead, a grown man walked up filming, mocking, and harassing them as if they had done something wrong. They were not at work, in a courtroom, at a formal event, or bothering anyone. They were simply trying to eat breakfast.
That reaction proves the point. The moment some people see a Black woman in a bonnet or a Black man in a durag, they automatically start making assumptions about their character, class, intelligence, cleanliness, and self-respect. Even other Black people look at them with disgust and start talking down on them.
Wearing a bonnet outside does not justify humiliation, harassment, or public shaming. The fact that a harmless piece of hair protection can trigger this much anger says far more about the people doing the judging than it does about the person wearing it.
WTF
AI companies are purchasing large quantities of used and rare books. Scanning their contents to train models. Then turning the originals to pulp.
The sum of human thought, digitized and shredded.
Every book that gets scanned disappears from the physical world permanently. The knowledge survives only as training data inside a system no one can hold, browse, or resell.
What used to sit on a shelf for centuries now exists as weights in a model that might get deprecated next quarter.
