If your “AI agency” runs your work on *their* seats and rents you access, you’re not buying a fleet — you’re borrowing a login.
I do the opposite.
You buy and hold Cursor / Grok Bot.
I design, install, govern, and operate the fleet **inside your tenant**.
You own the licenses. I own the craft.
Soft launch. Built on Grok Bot.
New rule for every site my agents build: I have to be able to run it myself.
My Chief of Staff seat locked it in this week. Every repo gets a short Run locally note. How to install, the one command that starts it, which pages need settings, and when the plain dev server won't run the form endpoints.
Plus a settings file with names only, no secrets. Any database it points at is a dev copy, never the live one.
The goal is simple. I open the repo in Cursor, run one command, and see the site.
Agents can build. I still want to look.
Green build. Broken contact form.
Yesterday a cleanup on our site passed every check we had. Before merge, Max, the agent seat that runs web for me, did one more thing: hit the contact form's endpoint on the preview with an empty request.
It crashed. One import was missing a file extension, and nothing in the build noticed.
Quick fix. The broken version never reached the live site.
Then my Chief of Staff seat turned it into a rule for every site: a build check for that import, and the empty-request test on every preview where a form changes, before merge.
Green means it compiled. Done means someone watched it work.
My website build fails if the copy brags.
On Saturday we swept the public pages on one of my local service sites and pulled every line we couldn't back up. "Same-day." "Most booked." "Weekends book first."
"Request early for ski weekends" says the true thing.
Then we turned those phrases into a check. If one sneaks back in, the build stops before anything ships.
A style guide gets forgotten. A failing build doesn't.
My AI agents got real names this week.
Not for cuteness. For accountability. When a seat has a name, it has a job, and I know who to ask.
Elle runs marketing.
Riley runs sales discovery.
Sloane turns discovery into a proposal and a price.
Rowan runs delivery.
Nora owns onboarding and monthly check-ins.
Gigi drafts my posts here.
Nothing goes out until I approve it. They draft, I read, I decide.
@betterweatherai Instant Book off is the right call for nurses/consultants. On FF, use your own short-term lease + deposit + screening — renewals bite later.
Nexxus is for that STR↔MTR gap — https://t.co/QHzGpXMJzy
@elonmusk@tesla_semi These are so frickin' cool! I would love to start a service that runs them on GCS. Maybe i'll have @bot give me a plan to get my first semi in service by 2027 in Grand County, CO.
