@thomas_leech Yes the military bands were excellent. The British Army band do amazing workshops and side by side gigs in schools across the UK and I’ve been lucky enough to organise two of these events over the last 3 years. They were incredible and use outreach to canvas for musicians.
@thomas_leech Certainly the amazing music we heard yesterday was , without doubt, the result of an incredible amount of talent and hard work of professional musician - but let’s not also forget that their initial spark or passion for music making was probably ignited at school.
@PeterRSGray Thanks Peter … my mum and dad are currently raising a lot of money through grants to do the first structural and internal work on our beautiful village church in 100s of years. Funnily … none of it came for the CofE!!
A wonderful first half of the lent term! Here are the winners of our beginner music competition heats … alongside the wonderful @AndrewLeach3 and his special ‘cup’. Looking forward to the intermediate and advanced heats coming up in March.
@abcdtweets another wonderful conducting training day with the inspiring @SusanHollingwo1 - thank you Sue - so@much to take away. Can’t wait until the next one.
@abcdtweets .. what a wonderfully inspiring 2nd day of the initial training course with the wonderful @SusanHollingwo1 and of course accompanist Rolly. Would highly recommend these courses for anyone working with choirs.
We never took our NPO status for granted, but like many of you we are mystified by the 100% cut to our Arts Council grant. We're proud of our excellence and our track record of deep engagement with East of England communities. With your support, we will continue to make our case.
