As if Nigerians have not had enough from a system that dims citizens' hopes and aspirations: the @PoliceNG SARS are avowed to put out dreams and their young dream bearers.
No! We must #EndSARS and #EndSARSImmediately
This is condemning intoto (on behalf of my #BBNaija glued constituents) the uncanny move by Lai Mohammed to stifle democracy and right to freedom of speech. Responsible talk and deeds begins with Lai Mohammed... Enough of the archaic and self-aggrandizing policy maneuvers!
"When they've been working like slaves
To get some minimum wage
You turn around and you blame
Them for their anger and rage
Put them in shackles and chains
Because of what they became
We are the monsters you made"

Today, Mubarak’s wife, Mrs. Amina Mubarak, spoke on video for the first time of her fears and how she has been affected by the past three months not knowing whether her husband is alive.

The UN Human Rights Commission’s experts said, “The arrest and detention of Mr. Bala amounts to persecution of non-believers in Nigeria....”
The @PoliceNG have not only refused to provide access to Mubarak, they have also refused to give proof of life.
...and has not been charged. His whereabouts are unknown despite many requests to the Kano Police Command and attempts to use the courts to end what is undisputedly an illegal detention.
...detained without
charge on accusations of blasphemy, a potential capital offense.
Mubarak, President of the Humanist Association of Nigeria, has been held by police in Northern Nigeria since April 28 this year and has not been permitted to see his family or his
lawyers...

Today the UN Human Rights Commission called on Nigerian authorities to immediately
release prominent humanist and human rights defender Mubarak Bala...
Today, we join Mubarak Bala to mark his birthday in detention having been held since April 28, 2020. Bala's only crime is his courage for being critical of religion. We call on all to demand #FreeMubarakBala, because Bala's freedom is a goal for a secular Nigeria than otherwise.

From digging deep to the history and evolution of religion; contextualising leadership and influence; dissecting the rudiments of critical to analysing biblical fallacies, the week has been a goal, - among other things - for a society where 👉 #freemubarakbala
This week we commemorate one year of exchange and experience sharing on critical reasoning with the topic as captured in the flier below and the following distinguished speakers to address issues. #Strenthening the advocacy for increased critical reasoning for societal good.
This week is about sharing. Sharing all these great episodes to friends, family and complete strangers. The more distant these connections the better -especially if they don’t share our progressive values.
Thanks as you share our work with your network. 🤗❤️
