Using clinical cohorts and additional data from COVID patients, we show that this pathway is clinically relevant for infectious and non-infectious diseases.
Using several in vitro, in vivo, in silico and ex vivo approaches, we show that TF directly binds to and interacts with IFNAR1 owing to its homology with IFNAR2 (a known ligand of IFNAR1)
Using a podocye specific TF deletion mice, we show that loss of TF or its interaction with IFNAR1 promotes IFN response genes and increased TF activity. This in turn regulates the immune homeostasis within kidney and promotes macrophage infiltration.
