For those of you who have forgotten, or maybe don’t know, the INVENTOR of the AR-15, Eugene Stoner, never intended the gun for civilian use. It was made purely for the US military.

His family said the following after the Pulse nightclub shooting, where 49 people were killed: “Our father, Eugene Stoner, designed the AR-15 and subsequent M-16 as a military weapon to give our soldiers an advantage over the AK-47.”

They went on to say: “Currently, a more interesting question is ‘Who now is benefiting from the manufacturing and sales of AR-15s, and for what uses?'”

I can answer that: the gun lobby is. In fact, more than 13.7 MILLION AR-15s have been produced by US gun manufacturers since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012. Manufacturers have made 11 billion dollars in revenue off the production of AR-15s used to slaughter Americans.

Until we elect lawmakers who aren’t afraid to say no to the gun lobby, nothing will change, and we will continue hearing about mass shootings every single day.

Just as a reminder, there have been 473 mass shootings in 2023 alone.
