It’s always “do as I say, NOT as I do” with the GOP.
The Republicans who passed this “nuclear family month“ law also worship at the swollen feet of a 34 count convicted felon who cheated on all three of his wives.

It would take far more than a month to honor the contributions of queer and transgender New Yorkers.
From the Cercle Hermaphroditos in 1895, the first trans advocacy group in the United States, to the drag balls of the Harlem Renaissance, to the Stonewall uprising, to the Lesbian Herstory Archives, to ACT UP!, founded in 1987 as queer people fought for their lives while the Reagan administration looked away, New York City's history has long been shaped by queer and trans New Yorkers.
To all our queer and trans neighbors: you deserve a City where you can afford to live safely, openly, and joyfully.
Happy Pride, New York City.
As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
Imagine the worst thing you can say about Joe Biden is that he got old while carrying the weight of the country on his shoulders.
He beat Trump when no one else could. He gave America and the world a fighting chance. He rebuilt the economy, passed historic legislation, stood with our allies, and restored dignity after four years of chaos and incompetence.
Yes, he believed he still had more to give. That is not a moral failing. That is a man who loved his country and did not want to walk away from the fight when his nation needed him. In the end, he didn't fail the country, we did, because we fully knew the stakes.
History will be much kinder to 46 than the pundits ever were. That I know.
I’ve got his back. How about you?
No snark, I genuinely don’t get it. Trump is one of the least masculine, most juvenile public figures out there. He’s needy, whiny, defensive, terrified of strong women, and visibly intimidated by powerful men.
How does his base spin this into the ultimate “strongman” image?
@SubBeck@MUGGER2023 I mean— I just checked and found one other obscure song at #85, but that’s the last thing that offended the YR zealots, who may or may not even agree Romeo’s Tune meets their Ten Commandments; it’s a great song for sure.
Bill Clinton: I balanced the federal budget
Barack Obama: I won a Nobel Peace Prize
Joe Biden: I passed the largest long-term investment in US infrastructure since WWII
Donald Trump: I can identify a camel
@SubBeck@MUGGER2023 Well I mean the sound of YR more or less developed organically if you think of it as simply a blend of late 70s/early 80s soft rock/jazz fusion but yeah I guess since it’s a newer genre (insert preferred synonym for genre), egomaniacal gatekeeping ensued. Article loading. 👀
