@GeneAPseattle @holz_bau @drvolts You just looked so confused and sad trying to figure it out on your own!
But yeah, can't beat pricing on store bought one. But if you want to put in the work (like Gene) then you can get a really nice pergola for reasonable cost.
@MarketUrbanism@TimGokhman@CohenSite The real ? will be installed price by real installers. We asked our typical HVAC subs, they don't use or rep the product so their install cost is high. I would venture that a savvy sub could provide and install for $5-6000 per unit, less if they can get volume pricing on equip.
@MarketUrbanism@TimGokhman@CohenSite They're running around $3500 per unit, so if you can install yourself (no refrigeration lines to run!) Then you can save versus 1-2 head mini split system. If buying 3 or more I'd say mini splits better value. So they're great for small apartments instead of minispits.
@MarketUrbanism@CohenSite@TimGokhman I bought two units to try out. Will be installing in my townhome soon. If they perform as well as they look and feel I'll be using them in real projects.
@holz_bau @carywesterbeck It all depends on who you're selling to. Developer who has lower costs to build and/or better financing can offer more for a planned and permitted project and still hit their margins. There is no set formula. Let's connect, put together budget and proforma, and find you a buyer.
@holz_bau @Lanefab @AndrewMichler @DuncanArchitect Terrible analogy btw. But if that is indeed your argument, I'll rebut that muesli is great every day! Just add some chocolate chips, berries, yogurt, or whatever bling you want after you've provided an inexpensive, solid base.
@pushtheneedle@jenny_schuetz@JerusalemDemsas@MarketUrbanism@Cobylefko This things rigged. Backroom deal! Backroom deal! How is @holz_bau only ranked 11? Unless it's a super sophisticated ranking, like 1+1 meaning 1 single stair bldg connected to 1 single stair bldg = twinned PAB for the win!
