@RhyL34@DaleJohnsonBBC If you win the trophy you gain a place in Europe if those winners do not qualify for the next higher ranked competition through their domestic league position or winning a cup. So Villa and, if they win on Sat, Arsenal, have not gained us places.
@chrisjthacker@DaleJohnsonBBC The gulf between the Premier League finances and other European Leagues means that every team in the PL last season had one of the top 30ish budgets to play with.
The Championship is not in the same financial arena as the PL.
@realninawysocka Err? None of the above.
Churchill during the war? Atlee with the great Labour government of the late 40s? Disraeli? Gladstone? William Pitt? Probably all of these and many others get higher places than any you have mentioned
@turfmoorhouse Not Ole or Stevie! Very few top players make it in top management for a reason, they just knew what they did and now they find they can't teach it because it was instinct.
@BFCGB1983@becki_price How are 1 and 4 offside though. In the top left image (1) the defenders shirt sleeve, which is a playable part of the body is further from the line than Humphries knee, and in the bottom left pic, the United player has shirt beyond the line whilst Foster's is barely touching it.
@oelma__ Or perhaps you should get your employer to pay you a living wage. Tips should be given for exceptional service rather than expected or compulsory!
@secondtierpod@reluctantnicko Even Chorley managed to keep their pitch well enough drained to complete their game. Burnley managed to complete their game in the same conditions without a single puddle on the pitch.
Rovers' lack of investment in the pitch over the last 20 years is the real cause of this.
@UKLabour Awful idea. Totally against what the Labour Party has stood for since it's inception.
I am really starting to hate the party I've supported all my life. I have previously been a member, a councillor, a branch chairperson, a branch secretary and an active branch member.
