@ClayTravis Way off the mark here. Nike took a nice dive because they took the advice of McKinnesy consultants. Nike’s problem is they got complacent, which is always an enemy of excellence.
@ClayTravis@CNN@nytimes I am against the merge of Paramount and Warner, but I also against a Netflix merger too. I don’t believe either scenario is good for consumers.
@CGasparino Mixing up topics. Public goods aren’t socialism. Public goods are good or service the market often won't provide because it's non excludable and/or non rivalrous. Sewers, fire, police, EMS, and national defense are public goods. That doesn't make them socialism.
@SportsTaxMan It is a huge capital gain, but Paul Allen had all of his assets in a trust and set up his estate to sell all of his art and sport teams with all the money going to charity. The IRS won’t be getting much if any of this money.

@OfficialChipC@diablodrpepper@TheSteinLine Officials miss calls every game. I don’t know one that doesn’t admit that. It’s about the next play mentality. Yes, you missed a call but we can’t be held back by that on the next play.
@ProFootballTalk It’s actually more as Ohio’s income rate in 2026 is 2.75%. Ohio in 2026 has a flat income tax. Everyone who earns more than $26,500 pays the same 2.75%.
@OfficialChipC@metalluav@Rate_the_Refs All about angles. It’s easy to watch in slow motion and with 5 different angles. Even at lower levels the outbounds call can be the easiest or the hardest call. It sounds easy on paper. Refs get one shot at one angle to call it.
@OfficialChipC@Rate_the_Refs Anyone who has ever officiated basketball knows the hardest call is the outbounds play. The ball moves quickly and it can move from one PCA to another. If you have an active matchup in your PCA you might not see it. On TV it looks easy.
@bballbreakdown A defender can move laterally, obliquely or backwards. The defender can’t move toward an opponent and maintain a LGP. A defender doesn’t need to be stationary to maintain a LGP once it’s obtained.
@bballbreakdown At the HS level the NFHS rule to obtain a LGP is to have two feet on the floor and be facing your opponent. Once LGP is obtained you don’t need both feet on the floor. Time and distance only matter when the opponent is moving without the ball.
@OfficialChipC It also depends on our angle. We need to be able see the defender is moving backwards and their own momentum can make it “look” like a push off, when it is not. Coming up as an official, this can be a hard play to discern. It’s all about the angle we have.
