imagine your jonathan byers and you’ve been in musty pizza van for way too long and you look back to see homotron3000 who’s already ruined everyone’s week yearning this hard
My main issue with the fumbling of El's characterization is that she was a blank canvas that they could have done so much with. Here's a girl who's been shut off from the world for 12 years, and then she meets a bunch of new friends with so many different interests. Mike is a writer, Will is an artist, Lucas likes basketball, Dustin is a tech enthusiast, Max likes skateboarding. Which one of these is she gonna pick up from one of her friends? None. We see her liking crafts for a little while in s4, and then it's never mentioned again. But that was also during her peak conformity era. So was she actually interested in crafts or was she trying to fit in with Will, who was the closest thing to a friend she had at the time? We don't know. This is their main female protagonist and they simply did not give her a personality outside of her superpowers.
will’s entire family had a significant love story except for him even though he was the one who had an arc about accepting his queerness in a show about outcasts lmao…
im trying to write a fic where mike wheeler is miserable and selfunaware but its so hard cuz im miserable and selfaware sadly, i dont know how his mind should work
@vampirecleric will is so much better than me cuz if my best friend that i was in love with looked at me like that while i was trying to fix the doomed rs between him and his poor gf and also my sister id push him outside the damn van right there

hot take: i didn't like how dustin was the only one grieving eddie and everyone else looked like they didn't care. I mean mike and lucas were also playing dnd. mike even changed his entire outfit and hair to look like eddie. they just erased and diminished the others feeling
