@AliciaAmarilyn Did you have a storm go thru or did the tree just get tired of standing up? Hope the critters are ok. We have had lots of wind and hail here in Iowa. 70 to 80 mph winds north of me this morning. Just got fences fixed from the last storm. Wild weather.

@AliciaAmarilyn In that time if it has turned black and you don't see green regrowth, then you need to replant. The experts said since the growing point was underground it wouldn't affect population. True, but they never addressed what it actually did to the ear. You stress it, it hurts it.

@AliciaAmarilyn I only know about field corn or hybrid corn. I was a crop adjuster/supervisor for 20 years. Worked off farm to support my cow habit lol. Not sure but if it's sweet corn, because of the high sugar content, it is more susceptible to a frost/freeze. Watch it for 5 to 7 days.

@mmmadcccowalt I caught 2 babies and a mom in a live trap last year at the same time. Then caught another baby. Then a mature one. Mom and dad must raise babies as a family??? I relocated them to the river bottom about 2 miles away.
