@_TheMizzouTiger Beans are at 12ish, but pods are extremely brittle, about shatter into the next pass over from combine vibration. Another odd year

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@_TheMizzouTiger Pretty well same in my neighborhood. Then pretty well done at 8-830

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

Corn is dry, ground is not

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

Should be combining, but mowed some late hay, then pulled the Rotobaler out to really drag out the process.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@MendenhallZach I combined just a little for feed and my moisture was way higher. Mud followed tires and packed into the drive belts. Water standing, just a mess.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@GaryGvetter I've done some dry stuff in a Harvestore, but never a pile

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@GaryGvetter I didn't get any silage made. I know you have talked of dry silage, but how dry do you go for a pile? I won't have any resemblance of green left by the time the ground can support the machines

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@_TheMizzouTiger Neighbor said we are on day 17 of last 22 days w precipitation. 2" caught in mine last night. Heard the weather gal say 2-4 more by Wednesday. Our Lucas County ground doesn't just dry off in a few days. Might be a long old fashioned harvest.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@GWatsabaugh @DanAllred1 I did not. I'm ready for a 7 month drought.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@iowanfarmer For as green as it looks going into the head, it doesn't look that wet coming out the chute.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@Redcowsforever Cloudy and crappy, by the time the dew burnt off. Not sure I'm going to rake today or let it sit another.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@KornKattle I forget how you worded that, But I also would gladly take some hitch pins if someone doesn't want theirs! 😄

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@_TheMizzouTiger What is cost of ownership on an auger like that? How many bushel does it move before being totally wore?

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@Redcowsforever Same thought aa I rotated pasture today

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@koinzangreg But kinda like buying crop insurance, you don't really want to collect on it do you?

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@GWatsabaugh @NWSDesMoines @dsmwx @JSydejkoKCCI @ChrisKuball @EdWilsonWX13HD @DanAllred1 @timmjphillips @BigShowFarm @WXMegs @IAStormChasing @WhiteWeather_ @KCCIWeather @WHOWeather @QuinnWHO Around an inch, give or take, in my neighborhood

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

Does the corn and soybean and pork associations work this hard to get foreign raised product into the USA?

[National Cattlemen's Beef Association @BeefUSA]

A handful of Republican Agriculture Committee Senators are working with activists, trying to strong-arm MCOOL into the Senate Farm Bill. Support of MCOOL is a vote for higher beef prices, & against the rebuild of the U.S. cattle herd.

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

@BobGunzy @iowanfarmer There probably actually is a demand for one in Southern Iowa, but I dont know that Decatur County, and surrounding, has the infrastructure to support 2 day, weekend tournaments, hotels, restaurants, activities/entertainment, etc. Lots of people travel and spend for youth sports

[Jansen Stuart @JansenStuart]

I get way more upset over county fair lamb leg shag being a popular trend than I should. Farm stock to the fair.
