Ron Paul offered young conservative men a way to fit in with the America-hating left while still identifying as conservative.

To the left, they could fit in with the America-hating zeitgeist by saying "oh yeah I don't hate America but I do agree with you that I hate what it's doing and has done"

To the right, they could say "I'm actually MORE conservative than you because I hold my country to a higher standard".

All the while they were completely missing the tendency, even inevitability, that hatred of what something is doing grows into hatred of the thing itself.

@bguygds @abbythelibb_ I didn’t have to mourn my previous life but I do miss the time and energy I had to do things. I really don’t undrstand how she does so many things. I’m always so tired and I only have one 2 year old. The first 14 months I didn’t even sleep through the night
