'THE OLD YOUNG CROW,' a captivating short film by Iranian-American Liam LoPinto elegantly fuses Iranian and Japanese cultures through live-action and animation.

This labor of love explores the unlikely friendship between an Iranian boy and an old Japanese woman, set against the backdrop of a Tokyo graveyard. Narrated by Liam's grandfather and featuring the soul-stirring music of Googoosh, this film is a true testament to the power of cross-cultural storytelling.

A six-year journey inspired by a mystical encounter with a crow in a Tokyo graveyard, and further propelled by the influence of the late great Abbas Kiarostami and his assistant Shohreh Golparian.

Already making waves, the film won 'Best of Festival' at Palm Springs, was a finalist at Farhang’s Short Film Festival, and is currently in consideration for the Live-Action Short Academy® Award; the film will also be featured at the upcoming @AmericanFilm
