Thank you to @foxnewsradio @kilmeade for having me on the show this morning.

As our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, I'm reminded that the ideals America was founded on, freedom, equality, and justice, are, at their core, spiritual principles. Those principles made room for a young refugee like me to build a life here.

As a teenager in Iran during the 1980s, I lived through war and watched the Islamic Republic expel Bahá'ís like me from school and execute members of my community simply because of their faith. Today, 92 million Iranians are still waiting for that suffering to matter to the world, while so much of the conversation remains focused on nuclear negotiations and oil prices.

My hope is that we never lose sight of the fact that hope has the power to change lives, and that America still represents hope to millions around the world. To me, that is not only a great national strength, but also a profound privilege that we, as Americans, should cherish. 🇺🇸

June 3, 2024 REPOSTED from @BitaMilanian @BitaKitchen: “Earlier this morning, I had the honor of showcasing two beloved classic Iranian dishes, #AabDooghKhiar & #SaladShirazi on KCAL9 CBS Morning News (@kcalnews) in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month!
Los Angeles, a melting pot of cultures, proudly hosts the largest Iranian diaspora, and what better way to connect us all than through the universal language of food.
Rudabeh (@RudabehShahbazi) & Jamie (@jamieyuccas) did an awesome job and in record time demonstrating these simple yet nutritious recipes, both perfect for the summer months ahead.
Let’s celebrate the power of food in bringing people together!”

Two weeks ago, on March 31, 2024, I was deeply honored to be a part of the ‘FARAMARZ ASLANI: A CELEBRATION OF LIFE.’ Grappling with the reality that we can no longer experience his physical presence is both surreal and profoundly difficult.
We are lucky to have his voice, poetry, music, and wisdom remain with us FOREVER. Most importantly, his steadfast dedication to humanity and justice continues to inspire and guide us.

I also had the privilege to deliver dear Mr. Fereidoun Farahandouz’s personal message - an extremely difficult task.

Sending continued love & light to his incredible wife & my best friend Marjan Fakki-Aslani and the entire Aslani & Fakki families - and the global community who loves him. 🤍

🌸Mar 19, 2024 | Thank you @kcalnews & the wonderful @RudabehShahbazi - my beautiful friend, along with her lovely co-anchor @jamieyuccas for the opportunity this morning to share the joy of Nowruz, our cherished Iranian/Persian New Year. This ancient festival, marking the rebirth of nature and the start of spring, is close to the hearts of all Iranians and everyone celebrating it in Central Asia or anywhere in the world, reflecting our rich culture and timeless traditions. This Nowruz is extra nostalgic for me as I enter my 35th year of immigrating to the U.S. this month, reflecting on the incredible experiences of my journey as a proud Iranian-American and Angeleno. I am grateful for the opportunities and remain committed to giving back to my community through art and culture, all while holding onto the hope of one day returning to my motherland – a FREE IRAN soon! 💚🕊❤ 🌱
This year, the moment of vernal equinox will occur on Tuesday March 19, 2024, 20:06:26 PM PST, simultaneous anywhere in the world.

'THE OLD YOUNG CROW,' a captivating short film by Iranian-American Liam LoPinto elegantly fuses Iranian and Japanese cultures through live-action and animation.

This labor of love explores the unlikely friendship between an Iranian boy and an old Japanese woman, set against the backdrop of a Tokyo graveyard. Narrated by Liam's grandfather and featuring the soul-stirring music of Googoosh, this film is a true testament to the power of cross-cultural storytelling.

A six-year journey inspired by a mystical encounter with a crow in a Tokyo graveyard, and further propelled by the influence of the late great Abbas Kiarostami and his assistant Shohreh Golparian.

Already making waves, the film won 'Best of Festival' at Palm Springs, was a finalist at Farhang’s Short Film Festival, and is currently in consideration for the Live-Action Short Academy® Award; the film will also be featured at the upcoming @AmericanFilm
