@Jason We used to call this the Trader Joe’s model. They bring in a great marinara, it sells well, and a few months later it’s replaced by “Trader Giotto’s” marinara.
Well, I didn't have "Offspring frontman delivers best commencement speech of 2026" on my bingo card, but here we are 👏👏👏 https://t.co/xcVPhBZz7j. Congrats to all the graduates! Dream big. Make pivots. Enjoy the journey.
"We believe we have identified the largest actionable total addressable market (“TAM”) in human history." Source: SpaceX S-1. I led an S-1 TAM estimate project as a mgmt consultant. They're optimistic by nature, but this statement was likely SpaceX's most conservative way to frame it 🚀
Wow, @Google, @sundarpichai what a quarter! EPS up 82%, operating income up 30%, Cloud revs up 63%, and Waymo >500K rides per week. And increasing the dividend despite the capex spend?! Now you're just showing off 🚀🚀🚀
I used ~20M tokens on Claude over the past 30 days. It's been my daily copilot on a mobile project, juggling ~8-10 scheduled tasks and making me feel superhuman. Today, I learned that top SWEs are burning >1B tokens per month... more in a DAY than I did last month. Just insane.
@bcherny Boris, I use scheduled tasks (and love them!) but I’m not familiar with the loop feature. How should I think about the difference between them?
Our next wave of PermitSF changes are here, making it easier for neighbors to host block parties together. Our neighborhoods are what make San Francisco special, and we’re changing the special event permitting process to make it easier to celebrate them. Want to organize a block party? With these changes, the process will be simpler and faster. With PermitSF, we are cutting red tape, and making lives easier for San Franciscans—and we’ll keep working to make our city better for everyone.
@JJWatt I waited tables in college, and a % of my tips went to the dishwashers & bus boys. In the fast-casual case you described, my assumption is that tips get shared by the less visible staff. As a customer today, I'd tip 10%.
