@thejournal_ie How about enforcing the Free Movement Directive 2004/38/EC where someone can't move here from another EU country, never work a day, sit around drinking/procreating and get free money and social housing? Because I can tell that is happening in tens of thousands of cases unimpeded.
@HMcEntee Mother of God, do you people talk about anything else? It's ridiculous. You'd swear there was nothing going on in the world other than this obsession.
MUST LISTEN: The facts on the EU Migration Pact. Michael Fitzmaurice TD lays out the facts of the EU Migration Pact and the decision by Minister Helen McEntee and the Government to give away our sovereignty.

@Casey5122dark The people running these countries are doing what the Golgafrinchans did in Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. They're ridding themselves of the portions of their societies they don't want. And coincidenally, by and large, the least valuable ones for the destination countries.
@thejournal_ie I do and I can't for the life of me understand what benefit I get out of it other than being able to claim a little bit of MY money back on visits. And they don't seem to be able to adequately explain it to me either.
@IrishTimes These people have totally destroyed any trust anyone could have ever had in them. I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of their mouths. If they say this is in your benefit, then the opposite is likely true so don't put your money anywhere near it.
@mreggbert@rtetwip@AodhanTd23528@RTEOne What new immigration policy? I'm not setting policy, I'm simply pointing out that the current rate of immigration and asylum are consistently not popular with a majority of the public, whether you or Aodhan like it or not.
@SadVampire1776 To imagine what it's like being inside this head, imagine being at the end of a long decision tree about society after answering every question incorrectly.
@Toibin1 Billions in the long run. And in the worst case scenario, unless there's a major copping-on in EU policy to stop every bloke on the planet who fancies better financial circumstances by exploiting the asylum visa-bypassing loophole (~90% of them), it'll cost us FAR more than that.
@eric_nelligan Ah the old 'what non-problem can I invent for my column this week' commentary pieces written as if it's 'how women think', but it's really how Sarah Breen thinks. 2nd sentence: 'it's not a position I would normally find myself in'. Ok, so not really a problem then is it?
@Independent_ie Three or four dozen sent home on 150k flights every 6 months isn't quite cutting it. But it's good for duping the average person on the street who doesn't understand the full scale of this scam into thinking you are effectively handling it, so I'll give him that.
@EoinLenihan He's quite good at sounding competent...without actually being competent. And that's enough for the average member of the public with low investment in what's going on in the country. 'Ah, sure he said he has the asylum situation handled, so its grand, /sleep'.
