From Fort Worth to Chicago—we are one brotherhood.
Gone, but never forgotten.

Massachusetts Coalition of Police In-House Counsel Tim King and Labor Relations Manager Michael Perreira, along with Caitlin Tarentino (sister of fallen Officer Ron Tarentino) and Pat Munroe from the @Bftfboston testified at the State House this morning in front of the Joint Committee on Transportation on a number of "Move Over Law" bills. One of the bills, HB3816 An Act Relative to the Move Over Law includes provisions to enhance the penalties for those who violate the Move Over Law, creates a Blue Star Family license plate for families of those killed in the line of duty, creates the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, and also creates a Blue Alert System in the Commonwealth. Fifty-percent of the revenue generated from the enhanced penalties of the Move Over Law, would go to the RMV to pay for the Blue Star Family plates. Thank you to Caitlin for testifying today. It is hard to imagine the impact Ron's passing has had on the Tarentino family and they continue to be strong advocates for survivor's rights as do many of our other survivor families. And thank you to Pat for testifying today and for your organization's continued advocacy for survivor families. We also want to thank Frank Frederickson of the Mass FOP for his work on this and other bills relating to Acts of Gratitude towards Survivor Families.
