During the meeting, the department presented its Integrated Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Program, which outlined strategic actions for forest conservation, rangeland restoration, shelterbelt plantation, desertification control and wildlife habitat improvement. The proposed framework aims to address key climate challenges, restore degraded ecosystems and build the resilience of local communities through long-term, area-based strategies.
The department also highlighted its tree plantation initiatives, which aim to increase greenery in the dry areas of the province, enhance biodiversity and mitigate climate impacts.
The RDMC team appreciated the department’s comprehensive and far-sighted vision and termed it as aligned with the goals of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides expressing their commitment to further strengthen mutual ties and establish a structured partnership for climate action and sustainable natural resource management in Balochistan.

Very unfortunate incident of burning bushes in the mountains near Quetta. This reflects a lack of awareness about the serious environmental impact of such actions. The matter is being investigated by the Forest & Wildlife Department, and those responsible will be held accountable.
Friends on social media are requested to help spread awareness about the importance of protecting our environment—small efforts can make a big difference. We need our trees and bushes to survive. 🌱

From Chiltan to the Suleiman ranges and along the Makran coast, Balochistan’s extraordinary biodiversity is part of who we are. This living legacy must not be diminished by illegal hunting or habitat loss. As we mark World Wildlife Day, I reaffirm that protecting our wildlife is not optional it is our responsibility, and it will remain a firm priority of our government.
On United Nations World Wildlife Day (3rd March 2026), we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the precious wildlife of Balochistan.
Our province is home to iconic species like the Suleiman Markhor, Chiltan Wild Goat, Balochistan Black Bear, Houbara Bustard, and many migratory birds—an invaluable natural heritage entrusted to us.
Despite challenges of climate change, habitat loss & illegal hunting, we remain steadfast. The establishment of the Wildlife Conservation Endowment Fund 2025 marks a major step toward sustainable protection.
I urge our youth & communities to join hands in conserving our biodiversity for a greener, resilient Balochistan.
