@hetch75@ALTEX171@TheDenofNerds Like I said, this quote is from March. Ahsoka had already wrapped and was deep into post-production. The budget for the show must have been approved a year prior. Your logic makes sense, but the timeline just doesn't.
@hetch75@ALTEX171@TheDenofNerds I think you’re just misinterpreting what Iger said. But it doesn’t matter, the call happened earlier this year when Ahsoka was already deep in post production.
Look, I couldn’t care much less about this, just don’t come at me like you know your shit when you don’t. It’s cringe
@hetch75@ALTEX171@TheDenofNerds Interesting… you know what the budget for Ahsoka was? Pretty sure we’re all guessing here.
Oh, and what was the Iger quote that would make you think that each individual series - or any series for that matter - would have a budget reduction?
@jamesqquick At this point, I just sort of default to Next.js since it can handle this monorepo case as well as a standalone frontend or backend. Oh, and most importantly, it's really easy to spin up and hosting on Vercel is free for personal projects, meaning suuuper fast prototyping.
@jamesqquick If you want an application fully written in JS, then just lean into it and go monorepo. This way you can actually leverage libraries (i.e. tRPC + zod) which communicate your types between the back and front ends to get the most out of TS.
@hetch75@ALTEX171@TheDenofNerds Creating less content does not mean lower budgets for the shows/films they put out. Maybe start paying attention to math. It’ll help with perspective.
@TheDenofNerds I don't mind the saber-stab. Firstly, always wondered why anyone would immediately die from that type of wound since it's necessarily cauterized. Second, it seemed off-center (missed major organs). Lastly, I think it would've hit a lot harder if we had to wait a week for ep. 2
@hetch75@ALTEX171@TheDenofNerds As a main - or even supporting - character? I agree. But an appearance in one episode is obviously in the cards seeing as how it’s already happened… twice.
I would also be comfortable assuming that it’s getting cheaper, because well, that’s kinda how machine learning works.
@TheDenofNerds Me: hmm I wonder what makes this movie woke, surely I’ll find out be reading these 75 comments…
Me after reading the comments: still have no idea what about the movie is woke and now my brain hurts - is this stupidity somehow contagious? Wtf?
