In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done.
My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it.
I am honored to be your Democratic nominee for the Mayor of New York City.
I had a dream where I was doing a job interview and the interviewer led me to a room with @biggestjoel and he was pretending like it is for hin to be there. Low-key gaslighting me under believing that it's true he is just at every serious interview
I used to be more social on the web. I was more active on forums. I had actual conversations in YouTube comments. I actually felt like I was talking to people on the Internet.
I think "the algorithm" kills the opportunity to have those innocent interactions again 😔
@dehydrations It's such a weird argument too.
The claim is that social structures in Palestine make it difficult to be queer. And the best response is to let those queer people you're advocating for be bombed? Like believes it or not, there are probably gays in Palestine.
@nicklesimba@mainlylangley think how easy it was to see friends in college vs now, and it's clear that there's a lot of friction with how the average american is forced to spend their time, and the blocks in the way of actually being able to spend that time.
like increased CoL makes it hard to relax
@nicklesimba@mainlylangley I think car dependency has also played a role in it too. Lots of federal highway projects often divided cities and communities in ways that fractured them. It makes it harder to have community when there are obstacles to just being able to see friends easily.
