@brandonvega_wt If it’s this hard to explain - it’s probably over engineering something that doesn’t need to be. And yes - it’s barrel dumping no matter how you slice it or want to position it. As a former pro and D1 pitcher these swings have more holes than Swiss cheese.

Any decent coach always counts pitches. 130 pitches is absurd, there’s no “bulldog” mentality. It’s called living vicariously through your team and a coach forgetting health of the players is more important than anything.

A better approach is to coach your kid on how to handle the conversation so they can have it on their own. How to ask the coach what they need to work on to play more and improve - a good coach will respect that.
